| 内容記述 | Since Massey (1984) analyzed the dependency of the branch plant economy, many researchers have pointed out its instability and vulnerability to the change of economic circumstances. However, the regional development policy makers still have a strong tendency to stick to the promotion of location of branch plants of large firms. However, the tendency to the globalization of industrial location and the economic recession nowadays confront us with the difficulty of such a policy. Here we reexamine the problem of branch plant economy and show some recent examples of the location adjustment and its influence on an economy of a small city in Kagoshima. | |||||||||||
