| 内容記述 | Constructing an industrial park as the way of the promotion of local industry is now more and more losing effectiveness. The trend of industrial location changes as time goes by. Companies came to pursue the optimal plant location not only in Japan but also in Asian countries. More and more companies come to take the overseas location of their plants into consideration. The regional governments should recognize that, however small the factories are, they are continuing to change themselves in order to survive in global competition, and thus should promote local industries without relying on the temporal competitiveness of a few major branch factories. The exhausted regions, where the local industries such as agriculture or manufacturing are declining are increasing in these days. However, there is no royal road in the promotion policy of local industry. Thus it is necessary for the region to grasp the whole regional industry and to make the vision for economic development not to depend on a particular industry, and then encourage the local residents and firms in the long-run basis. On the other hand, it is important to the local policy maker to be in close contact with workplace of the local industries and to understand the reality of the business administration and the worker’s subsistence. Making such a steady efforts, the government will have the capability to make an effective industrial policy, and then can utilize the branch plants placed in the region. | |||||||||||
