 note = {application/pdf, 屋久島の低地では、アコウ、ガジュマル、マルバニッケイ、メヒルギ（栗生）が、それから上の600m位まではスダジイ、ウラジロガシ、マテバシイ、サクラツツジ、ミミズバイなどが見られる。さらにその上部の1,000m～1,600m位まではイスノキ、スギが多く見られ、山頂付近はヤクシマダケ、ヤクシマシャクナゲが生えている。
調査は白谷雲水峡､屋久島一周道路､淀川登山口～花之江河～黒味岳山頂､栗生海岸､春田浜で行った。
2回の調査で、116科346種の植物（シダ植物15科38種、裸子植物7科10種、双子葉植物80科236種、単子葉植物14科62種）を観察した。
特記すべき植物として、スギ、ビャクシン、ヤクタネゴヨウ、ツゲ、ヤクシマサルスベル，メヒルギ、イソマツがある。
