| 内容記述 | Based on Brown and Levinson’s (1987) politeness theory framework, this study conducts a pragmatic analysis of conversational data collected from native Japanese speakers at Dalian University of Foreign Languages, interacting with friends (CN1) and seniors (CN2) across three face-threatening scenarios.Through empirical research, it is evealed that the Japanese participants demonstrate systematic differences in their politeness strategies. Specifically, there is a significant higher frequency of three compensatory mechanisms: “confirmation,” “gratitude,” and “apology” in their interactions with seniors, whereas communication with friends is characterized by a core speech act structure consisting of “scenario description-requesting-auxiliary explanation.” In low-difficulty requesting situations, the strategic differences between CN1 and CN2 are particularly pronounced. As situational imposition increases, these strategies show a progressive trend toward convergence. It is also worth noting that prior to requesting, language elements like “empathetic expression,” “topic introduction,” and “preliminary buffering” do not exhibit a significant upward trend. This supports the core framework-based pragmatic feature observed in the communication patterns of native Japanese peakers | |||||||||
