The author interviewed 11 Psychiatric social workers working at a psychiatric hospital who experienced the Kumamoto earthquake. The data obtained there were analyzed by qualitative research methods. And the code was extracted. Then, the author created a flowchart of “viewpoint” and “action” when Psychiatric social workers faces a realistic task. Psychiatric social worker’s concerns and actions for “organization”, “client” and “family” were closely related. In Phases 0 to 2, activities were mainly organized, and expertise was not achieved.
