甑島における次世代への方言継承活動としてのカルタ作製及び関連の言語調査 Heritage Language Research on how Karuta Cards Assist in the Transfer of Dialect to the Next Generation ソケイ, ヒサコ 祖慶, 壽子 Sokei, Hisako 方言調査 継承後 カルタ 甑島 application/pdf This article introduces a research project to study dialect which was conducted on Koshiki Island and employed Karuta cards as an inheritance activity. Among thousands of languages existing at the present time, half are in danger of disappearing. UNESCO reported that 6 languages of the Okinawan Islands are endangered. Koshiki Island located in the city of Satsumasendai in Kagoshima Prefecture faces similar problems.
